Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has concluded its latest customer initiative, Score Better with Coca-Cola, which rewarded independent retailers and highlighted their role in local communities.
The four-week campaign was inspired by Coca-Cola’s role as the official soft drinks provider to the Premier League. It ran exclusively through MyCCEP.com, inviting retailers to take a virtual penalty each day for the chance to win instant prizes. Successful shots unlocked one of 420 prizes, including branded bucket hats, socks and cooler bags, as well as 20 £100 Sports Direct vouchers redeemable against a Premier League shirt.
Each play also counted as an entry into the Local Legends prize draw, designed to recognise retailers making a difference in their communities. The top prize offered two home entertainment bundles – one for the winning store and one for a local charity or cause of the winner’s choice.
The prize draw winner was Bowkett’s Off Licence in Gloucestershire. Store owner Richard Bowkett donated the second bundle to Great Oaks Hospice in Coleford.
Richard said: “We’re genuinely thrilled. It’s fantastic to be recognised in this way, and even better to have the chance to give something back to a cause that means a lot to us.
“The support we’ve had from CCEP – from ranging advice to promotional activity – has made a real difference to our business. This campaign is another great example of how they’re backing independent retailers like us, not just with products, but with meaningful opportunities.”
