Carlsberg Britvic is encouraging retailers to drive winter sales by pairing hot food with on-the-go soft drinks and is offering free point-of-sale kits to help stores create value-focused meal deals.
Available now at atyourconvenience.com, the kits include signage and materials to highlight bundled offers and guide shoppers to hot food and drink options. Research from Carlsberg Britvic shows that 31% of consumers are most likely to buy hot food and a drink together at lunchtime, and bundled deals significantly increase purchase intent.
The company advises retailers to stock leading on-the-go soft drinks that pair well with hot meals. Cola remains the top choice, with 41% of shoppers naming it as their go-to during winter, while functional and fruity drinks also perform strongly, with 22% of consumers preferring ready-to-drink juices and functional options.
