Cadbury has launched a new impulse-exclusive promotion as part of its partnership with the Premier League.
Running until June 30, the competition gives consumers the chance for them and five of their friends to play in a five-a-side tournament with soccer stars Thierry Henry, Jamie Redknapp, Shay Given, Jimmy Bullard and Alex Scott. Before they hit the pitch, winners will have the chance to mingle with the stars at a meet-and-greet that includes a question-and-answer session and photo opportunity.
To enter the prize draw to win one of 13 spots in the tourney, consumers need to purchase one of Cadbury’s singles and enter its barcode online.
One hundred cash prizes, the biggest value of which is £1,000, are also up for grabs. Instant win cash prizes can be found on tokens inside winning packs.
For stores that stock the participating products and display POS material, Mondelez will match the value of each cash prize to retailers where winning packs are purchased.
The competition is supported by a £1m marketing spend, including an out-of-home campaign, social media and PR support.
