Biona has announced three new additions to its organic food range: Italian Spelt Piadinas, Italian Spelt Pizza Bases, and Hot & Chunky Organic Kimchi, available to retailers from November.
The new Italian Spelt Piadinas are traditional flatbreads made with organic spelt flour and extra virgin olive oil, with an RSP of £2.49. Naturally high in fibre, they are designed to be filled and served in seconds.
The Italian Spelt Pizza Bases are thin and crispy, made in Italy with spelt grain and extra virgin olive oil, with an RSP of £2.59.
Both products are free from seed oils and offer a fibre-rich, lower-gluten alternative to wheat.
Biona is also launching a Hot & Chunky Organic Kimchi, building on the success of its existing line. Made with organic napa cabbage, carrots, onion, garlic, ginger and spices, it offers a bolder flavour and heartier texture, with an RSP of £5.39. It is free from preservatives, artificial flavourings and added sugar.
Carmen Ferguson, Brand Manager at Windmill Organics, said: “Consumers are shifting from sliced bread to more versatile bakery options, and trading up in the pizza category. With gut health on the rise, our new kimchi delivers plant-based goodness with satisfying crunch and warming kick.”
