Wholegrain popcorn bursts on to market

Sunbites popcorn

Walkers is looking to capitalise on the recent explosion of the popcorn segment with the launch of new Sunbites Wholegrain Popcorn.

Thomas Barkholt, Marketing Director at PepsiCo, commented: “We’re very excited to bring the increasingly popular Sunbites brand into the popcorn category, providing the perfect snack for consumers to enjoy with their lunch or as an afternoon snack.”

The Sunbites brand is currently growing at +17% versus an average Savoury Snacks category growth of +1.8%.

Sunbites Wholegrain Popcorn is available now in Sweet & Salty, Lightly Sea Salted and Sweet Caramel flavours at an rrp of 89p. The Sweet Caramel variant is also available to retailers in a clip strip format.
