Fresh off the back of its multi-award wins at the Scottish Wholesale Association’s Achievers Awards, United Wholesale (Scotland) (UWS) has announced that it achieved double digit organic sales growth in 2025.
To mark the milestone year, UWS has planned a series of special partner celebration events throughout 2026.
The wholesaler stated that its record sales growth excludes the contribution of its London depot, which was acquired last summer, and that the firm is on track to exceed £500m turnover as part of its ambitious five-year growth plan. The strategy is underpinned by continued organic expansion, strategic depot development, deeper supplier partnerships and enhanced support for convenience retailers nationwide.
UWS claimed that its East London depot had quickly become a blueprint for the group’s future, combining best-in-class retail standards, strong supplier collaboration and data-led ranging and promotions.
Managing Director Chris Gallacher said: “Over the past few years we have led the way in wholesale, particularly in digital, data and tech. It’s encouraging to see others in the market beginning to follow that direction — because ultimately that strenthens the entire wholesale channel for both retailers and suppliers.
“Double digit growth and industry recognition are achievements to be proud of – but we cannot be complacent. There is still so much more to do. Our ambition is clear: to remain the perfect partner for both our customers and our suppliers, and to continue leading from the front.
“We’ve just taken our supplier partners through our new five-year growth plan and we are well on the way to building a business that exceeds half a billion pounds in turnover.”
Chairman Asim Sarwar said: “Being the most successful wholesaler doesn’t happen by chance. It’s built on trust, teamwork and long-term partnerships. As we continue to implement our five-year growth plan, there is only one direction for United Wholesale Scotland — forward.”
