CJ Lang has named Stephen Brown as its new Head of Food-to-Go. He takes up his new post in October.
Brown’s background and experience has been with David Sands, then latterly, Scotmid Co-op. He has been a key player for both companies in their development of Food-to-Go and Local Scottish Supplier sourcing initiatives as key points of market differentiation.
The appointment forms a key part of developing the future CJ Lang vision and direction. Brown will report directly to the company’s CEO Colin McLean.
A spokesperson for CJ Lang commented: “With the overall UK Food-to-Go market predicted to grow at double the rate of the overall grocery market over the next five years, this represents an exciting opportunity to support both the CJ Lang Scottish Spar retail and wholesale offer.”
