SPAR Scotland has unveiled a newly refurbished company-owned store in Denny, Falkirk, marking 18 months since the former Scotfresh store joined the SPAR family. The upgrade reflects strong momentum across the estate and continued local investment in modern convenience retailing.
Since acquisition, the 2,405sq ft store has undergone an extensive transformation. The relaunch features a new storefront and signage, a refreshed, more modern shopfloor layout, and expanded product categories and ranges. The store also offers onsite parking.
The food-to-go offer has been significantly enhanced with a larger CJ’s counter featuring hot pies and meals, pastries, cakes, baguettes, breakfast choices and Rollover Hot Dogs. Two new Barista Bar machines (including iced coffee) provide a broad choice of teas and coffees. The store also offers Snappy Shopper home delivery.
The business is committed to supporting local suppliers, including long-standing local butcher Patricks of Camelon. Day-to-day operations are led by Natalie McKerracher and her team, who feature regularly on the store’s Facebook page in a number of entertaining videos.

To celebrate the refit, SPAR Denny will host a community event on Friday 22 August 2025 from 2pm to 4pm. Shoppers can enjoy SPAR gift voucher giveaways, try their luck on the SPAR “spin the wheel”, and take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The day will also feature a charity donation to a great local cause, along with special promotional deals supported by suppliers. Families can look forward to a face painter, giveaways, and additional surprises throughout the afternoon.
