Spar unveils new own-label wine range

Spar wine

Spar has launched a new trio of value own-label wines, curated by Master of Wine Philippa Carr.

A drop of red, a sip of white, and a splash of rosé are all available now with an RSP of £4.99.

The range introduces three cartoon animals: Reginald the Dog (red), Croxanne the Crocodile (white) and Phil-Mingo the Flamingo (rosé). The characters have been created to engage with shoppers in a light-hearted and memorable way through on-bottle QR codes. These direct shoppers to a dedicated website that provides more information about the wines.

The launch is supported in-store with POS in addition to social media and digital activities.

The new collection is suitable for vegans, as is Spar’s entire range of own-label wines.

Commenting on the new wines, Amrit Rebello, Spar Brand Controller, said: “They are not only competitively priced, but they are also designed to be an attractive option for shoppers looking for affordable yet flavourful choices. When the taste, packaging, and the price point come together, it definitely makes for the perfect offer.”
