PVM steps up Smint and Mentos marketing

Confectionery giant Perfetti Van Melle has unveiled new marketing campaigns for Smint and Mentos.

Both campaigns represent a combined £2m investment in the two brands.

An out-of-home campaign will focus on Mentos Pure Fresh Gum bottles and new duo packs, highlighting the brand’s bestselling Cherry and Tropical flavours. Forecast to reach almost two-thirds (65%) of adults across the UK with outdoor advertising at more than 420 sites, the campaign will reinforce Mentos Gum’s positioning as ‘Unbeaten on Taste and Flavour’.

A second burst of advertising in July will turn the spotlight on Mentos Discovery and the new Mentos pouch bags.

Meanwhile Smint will be encouraging an estimated six million commuters to ‘Refresh and reset’ with outdoor advertising in 350 locations. The brand will also increase its social presence on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, and give away 110,000 tins of Smint Peppermint to commuters.
