Scottish produce set for showcase event

A major event to produce Scottish food and drink is set to take place this month. Showcasing Scotland will run 20-23rd July in Dunblane and is the first of its kind, run in collaboration between Scotland Food & Drink, Scottish Development International, Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Scottish Government. Showcasing Scotland brings together over 80 Scottish food and drink producers. The event will play host to retailers and foodservice operators from across the UK and key international markets with the aim of showcasing Scotland’s superb natural larder and providing some of our finest food and drink businesses with a unique opportunity to meet primary trade buyers under one roof.

65 buyers will attend the event from both UK and overseas markets, from specialist and multiple retailers, national and regional wholesalers and distributors and caterers of fine dining to corporate events. Buyers and producers will meet via a series of Meet the Buyer sessions, in addition to attending a mini conference and dinner prepared by ambassador chef Nick Nairn and attended by Richard Lochhead MSP.
