The Association of Convenience Stores’ (ACS) Head of Retailer Engagement, Sarah C Johnson, is to depart from the organisation on 10 April.
Johnson has been a widely respected and much-loved member of the ACS team, especially with the independent retailer community as well as convenience multiples and the supplier community. Sarah led the creation of the Women’s Independent Retailer Network, sat on and led discussions with the ACS Independents Board, ran ACS events for most of her nineteen years with the trade body, and was an integral part of ACS’ activity.
ACS chief executive Ed Woodall said: “Sarah’s contribution to ACS has been extraordinary, and driven by her deep passion for the people working in this industry. She has brought immeasurable benefits to countless retailers and other members of this community with her commitment and intellect. She will be missed by a great number of people in this sector.”
Sarah’s departure comes ahead of organisational changes following Ed Woodall’s appointment as chief executive from 1 March.
