With barely a ball struck in anger at this year’s Championships, Britvic has revealed that Robinsons will continue to be Wimbledon’s Official Still Soft Drink until the end of 2020.

The Robinsons brand has a long association with Wimbledon dating back to 1935, when Lemon Barley Water was first created in the changing rooms at The Championships. Wimbledon 2015 marks the 80th anniversary of Robinsons’ connection with the tennis tournament, which is now the second longest sports partnership in history.

Kevin McNair, GB Marketing Director, commented: “We are very proud of our relationship with Wimbledon, a truly great British sporting event that captures the hearts’ and attention of a global audience.

“Robinsons has played a central part in Wimbledon’s rich history and we are excited the brand will continue its association with the world renowned tournament, which is the highlight of the summer for millions of people.”

Mick Desmond, Commercial Director at the AELTC, added: “At Wimbledon we have always valued the importance of long-term relationships and our partnership with Robinsons has become one of the enduring memories of the British summer. We are delighted to be celebrating both the renewal of the contract and Robinsons’ 80th anniversary with The Championships.”

To celebrate the anniversary, Robinsons is launching a nationwide campaign, including a new TV commercial.
