Retail Crime Taskforce invites indies to join online forum

Police Scotland

Police Scotland’s Retail Crime Taskforce (RCTF) Prevent and Protect Team has extended an invite to its Joint Retailer Forum to small, medium and independent retailers.

The forum is a monthly online meeting for Heads of Security/Loss Prevention to meet with the RCTF, other retailers and stakeholders and find out what is happening, along with raising issues they wish to discuss. It generally also involves one featured speaker to present on a topic relevant to retail crime. There is a chance for everyone to become involved and for informal discussion and questions.

The next meeting is pencilled in for 21 January 2026 and is usually scheduled for two hours in the morning, but generally lasts around 1 hour 30 minutes.

Retailers interested in joining can send a request to scdretailcrimetaskforce@scotland.police.uk who will send them an online invite.
