Convenience retailers will soon be able to offer customers one of the most popular sweet bakery brands in America, as Otis Spunkmeyer is launched in the UK by bakery firm Aryzta Food Solutions.
Delivered direct to store, the range includes American-style cookies, ring and ball donuts and muffins.
“This range of authentic American bakery products offers shoppers choice, quality and authenticity, ideal for on the go and a great coffee accompaniment,” said Mariam French, Aryzta Food Solutions’ Head of Marketing.
The range includes several distinctive selling points, including the fact that the ring donuts are filled, and are available in mixed-flavour boxes.
The muffins are all individually wrapped with a shelf life of 10 days and the cookies all feature crumb catchers inside the product boxes.
The donuts & muffins (rrp £1.10 – £1.30) are ready to sell in a ‘thaw & serve’ format, with the added bonus that the donuts come individually wrapped or in a six-pack. The muffins also come individually wrapped and the cookies (rrp £1.25) are all ready to bake.
“This is an opportunity for retailers to capitalise on the fact that 70% of consumers snack whilst on the go, and we know that the Otis Spunkmeyer range of American Sweet Bakery products are really hard to resist! Retailer margins are also good, with the average POR about 45%,” adds Aoife Kenny, Head of Retail at Aryzta Food Solutions.
The range is backed by a suite of POS and in-store displays including posters, shelf wobblers, balloons and floor graphics.
