One Stop joins Association of Convenience Stores

Tony Reed

The Association of Convenience Stores has announced that the Tesco-owned franchise One Stop has joined as members. The move comes months after ACS courted some controversy by allowing multiples to join the Association.

One Stop has over 750 stores across England and Wales and recently appointed former Londis employee Jim Carroll to lead its expansion into Scotland.

The membership agreement with ACS will include all One Stop branded stores.

Tony Reed (pictured), CEO of One Stop commented: “It’s a really positive step for One Stop and the ACS to be working together again.  The ACS does an excellent job in ensuring the Government is aware of the issues facing our sector and we believe we can play a part by getting involved and helping to raise the profile of their work.”

ACS Chief Executive James Lowman said: “We are delighted to welcome One Stop into ACS membership, further strengthening our voice as a body which represents a wide range of convenience retailers on key issues to Government. We look forward to working with One Stop in the future.”
