National operator snaps up Fort Augustus forecourt

A national operator has acquired Great Glen Service Station, in Fort Augustus, for an undisclosed sum.

The petrol station is located near the Caledonian Canal and Loch Ness, with good access to Inverness and Fort William.

The business features diverse income streams, including a post office, convenience store, and gift shop.

Great Glen Service Station’s previous owners, who operated the service station for 51 years, have sold up to focus on other business interests.

Christie & Co’s Associate Director Mark Lavery, who handled the sale, said: “This sale shows demand for petrol filling stations in Scotland is still extremely high, with operators looking for good quality sites across the country. This particular site generated multiple offers from all over the UK.”
