Müller has bought Yew Tree Dairy, a Lancashire-based dairy that specialises in milk powder production.
The deal, which is subject to approval from the Competition and Markets Authority, will enable Müller to become a major producer and exporter of powdered milk products made in Britain, with milk from British dairy farms.
Müller plans to invest in the capacity and capabilities of the site. It said the acquisition would allow it to grow its export business, drive supply chain resilience and “secure a positive future for the British dairy industry”.
