The caring folk at Londis Solo Convenience in Baillieston have teamed up with the ‘Be Someone’s Santa’ charity campaign to help bring Christmas cheer to local kids.
The store, which is run by Natalie and Martin Lightfoot, has erected a special Christmas tree featuring ‘Be Someone’s Santa’ tags. Each tag represents a local child in need of “a little festive magic”. By choosing a tag, customers can buy a gift for a child or young person supported by the Be Someone’s Santa campaign who might otherwise go without.Customers return the gifts unwrapped by 28th November, ready to be delivered to the children ahead of Christmas.
The initiative supports some of Glasgow’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children, young people, and families, including those supported by Glasgow South Health and Social Care Partnership, family support projects, social work, and young care leaver services across the city.
