A raft of convenience and wholesale operators, including: Scotmid, Bestway Wholesale, Booker, Filshill, CJ Lang, One-O-One Convenience Stores, One Stop and Co-op, have all been recognised as GroceryAid Gold Supporters for 2025.
In order to achieve Gold Supporter status, firms must have supported the charity in at least seven different ways across the areas of Awareness, Fundraising and the GroceryAid raffle.
Scotmid claimed to actively promote GroceryAid through internal awareness campaigns, colleague communications, manager briefings and materials in colleague areas, helping ensure teams understand how to access support when they need it. The charity has also been highlighted as part of Scotmid’s wider colleague wellbeing initiatives and awareness campaigns.
In addition, the society provides financial support to GroceryAid and promotes the charity externally to members, recognising that many connected to the business may also benefit from its services.
Sharon McSorley, People & Performance Business Partner at Scotmid, said:
“We are proud to be recognised as a GroceryAid Gold Supporter. Supporting the wellbeing of our colleagues is incredibly important to us, and we have a range of initiatives in place across Scotmid to help our teams when they need it. GroceryAid provides an additional source of confidential help, and we are proud to promote the charity and ensure our colleagues are aware of the wealth of assistance available.”
