Highland Food & Drink Club joins SGF

John Murray

Scottish Grocers Federation has announced Highland Food & Drink Club as its latest corporate member.

The new start-up is led by entrepreneur John Murray (pictured) and aims to build a Food & Drink Community, creating new opportunities for food and drink businesses throughout the Highlands.

SGF Chief Executive Pete Cheema said: “We are delighted that Highland Food and Drink Club has become a member of SGF. The timing is absolutely right – a key part of the industry recovery from the Covid-19 crisis will be focusing on and promoting quality Scottish produce within the independent convenience store channel. We are looking forward to a mutually beneficial, long-term partnership.”

John Murray added: “I very much look forward to working with Pete and the team at SGF. Now more than ever is a time for collaborative working. Collectively both organisations will assist businesses and the Club’s aspiration of making the Highlands “the Number 1 Food & Drink Region in Scotland.”
