Diamond Ball raises over £235k for GroceryAid

GroceryAid Hall of Fame inductees

More than 600 people from across the retail industry gathered at the Hilton on Park Lane, London for GroceryAid’s prestigious Diamond Ball on Friday 3 March.

The evening was a huge success and thanks to the generosity of all who attended more than £235,000 was raised. This will enable the charity to look after at least 156 beneficiaries in the coming 12 months with both financial and practical support.

The Diamond Ball was attended by key industry figures with the welcome speech given by President of the Fundraising Committee, Andrew Moore, Chief Merchandising Officer, Asda.

During the evening, Nick Boddy, Paul Fieldhouse, James Greer, Lorraine Hendle, June Robinson, Amanda Short, Victoria Spooner, Simon van Moppes and Martin Wright (all pictured) were all inducted into the GroceryAid Hall of Fame. This was in recognition of them having given at least 10 years’ voluntary service to the charity.

Next year’s Diamond Ball will take place on March 9, 2018 with reservations now being taken. Please contact GroceryAid to find out more and register your interest.
