Coca-Cola launches 1.75 litre in convenience exclusive

Coca-Cola Enterprises is launching a 1.75 litre bottle for convenience stores. Available to retailers at the end of March, the 1.75L pack size on Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Cherry Coke and Vanilla Coke has been introduced for retailers to capitalise on shoppers making a single bottle mission to their local convenience store. CCE says that the new, smaller bottle is easier to transport than the traditional two-litre bottle and with a lower rrp of £1.79, the 1.75L bottle is designed to make take home formats of Cola more accessible by offering value to convenience shoppers.

The pack itself will come in the iconic contour-shaped bottle to deliver increased in-store stand out. The new format will also be available in a £1.79 price-marked pack.

Darren Goldney, CCE Sales and Customer Development Director, says: “Soft drinks have an important role to play in a growing convenience environment and CCE is absolutely committed to delivering value to convenience store shoppers. One of the key platforms for unlocking the vast growth potential of the soft drinks category is the introduction of packs that meet specific shopper needs. The decision to introduce a 1.75L pack is based on strong insight into how shoppers buy take home formats of Cola in the convenience channel.”
