Boost Drinks is launching Boost Water+, a trio of zero-sugar electrolyte waters that bridge the gap between flavoured and functional water.
The convenience-exclusive range will be on shelf from January 2026 and is designed to offer shoppers functional benefits in a ready-to-drink format at an accessible price point.
Boost Water+ will be available in Cherry, Citrus and Strawberry & Peach flavours, in 500ml PET bottles (cases of 12), price-marked at £1.
The launch will be backed by a heavyweight influencer campaign to reach 18–34-year-olds, supported by a full suite of point-of-sale materials to drive trial and educate shoppers. Boost encouraged retailers to merchandise Boost Water+ beside flavoured water in the chiller, where shoppers will expect to find it.
The range performed strongly in consumer research, with 94% of respondents saying they loved the taste and more than 90% saying they would buy it.
The water category is worth a staggering £1.8bn, with flavoured water up 14% year-on-year in symbols and independents. Functional water is one of the fastest-growing segments in soft drinks, up 43% year-on-year and 121% versus three years ago, with 30% of functional water shoppers choosing electrolytes – presenting a profitable trend for stores.
Lisa McKenna, Boost Brand Director at AG Barr, said: “Water consumption is on the rise and, although shoppers are moving beyond simple thirst-quenching to seek drinks that offer functional benefits, they are not prepared to compromise on taste.
“Boost Water+ delivers more for water consumers – great-tasting flavours, electrolytes, zero sugar and just £1 – there is no reason for a shopper not to choose it.
“We are confident that this convenience-exclusive launch from trusted brand Boost will be an incremental sales driver for retailers.”
