Scoot — the rapid grocery platform from Booker — is now live in 100 convenience stores across the UK.

The platform was trialled in four stores in February, before rolling out nationwide in April.

Customers can place orders via the Scoot app, with delivery handled either by the retailer or through trusted third party courier partners, including a recent partnership with Just Eat. The service has been embraced by retailers looking to grow their businesses with
minimal operational disruption. The Scoot platform handles ordering, payment and picking, while retailers remain in full control of their range and pricing.
Damian Sanderson, Head of Home Delivery at Booker, said :
“Reaching 100 stores on the Scoot platform is a fantastic achievement, and a real testament to the appetite from our retailers and their communities. We’re proud to offer a solution that helps independent stores thrive in the delivery space. With more stores going live each week, we’re excited about what’s next for Scoot – this is only the beginning.”
The 100th Scoot store to go live was Pant Stores in Merthur Tydfill, Wales, with more stores already confirmed to launch in the coming weeks across England, Scotland and Wales.
Anuja Jenarthen, retailer of Pant Stores, said:
“We’re really excited to be the 100th store to launch Scoot. It’s a great opportunity to bring rapid delivery to our customers and be part of something that’s clearly growing fast. The support from the Scoot team has been excellent, and we’re looking forward to seeing how the service helps us reach more people in our community.”

Faraz Iqbal, of Premier Linktown Local in Kirkcaldy, Fife, was the first Scot to Scoot, transitioning over to the service at the beginning of March. He told SLR it was much quicker for Booker retailers to set up than other platforms, because products didn’t need to be input manually. He also claimed that it had been well received by customers. “I’ve had loads of messages from customers telling me the new app is really easy to use and there’s been a good uplift on all the offers we’ve put on,” he said.
