Booker sales rise aided by strong symbol brands growth

Booker

Tesco interim sales results for 2025/26 show Booker like-for-like sales have grown 1.7% to £4.7bn, with adjusted operating profit up +0.6% to £162m.

Strong growth in symbol brands and the addition of 275 new retail partners across Premier, Londis, Budgens and Family Shopper, saw Booker’s core retail sales grow +4.1% to £1.7bn.

The wholesaler’s catering arm also grew, up 5.7%, while Best Food Logistics was up 1.3%.

Booker’s tobacco sales dropped 8.8% to £810m as the market continues to decline.

The firm said: “A strong trading performance across core retail and catering, supported by favourable weather and savings generated through our Save to Invest programme, helped to offset significant operating cost inflation, including the new EPR [Extended Producer Responsibility] levy.”
