Ben & Jerry’s unveils oat-based range

Non-Dairy Cookies on Cookie Dough

Ben & Jerry’s has announced what the Unilever ice cream brand is hailing as “its best non-dairy recipe yet”.

Nearly 20 existing non-dairy Ben & Jerry’s flavours will make the switch from an almond base to a new and improved oat base by spring 2024, beginning with the brand’s bestselling Non-Dairy Cookies on Cookie Dough.

In celebration of the new range, a new flavour is planned to join the line up early next year. This is set to be the first ice cream flavour created with the oat-based recipe in mind.

According to Ben & Jerry’s, an oat base offers a smoother texture and also reduces nut allergens.

Like all Ben & Jerry’s flavours, the new range will continue to contain values-led ingredients including Fairtrade certified cocoa, vanilla, coffee and sugar, and Open Chain cocoa.

The new non-dairy range is set to hit freezers across the UK in early 2024 with an RSP of £4.90.
