Warburtons is celebrating 140 years in the bakery business by bringing a golden touch to the bread shelves.
From this month, a gold flash commemorating the anniversary will appear on selected packaging of the brand’s products, including the Toastie loaf, standard Crumpets, Seeded Batch, White Rolls, Sandwich Thins and many more.
The new design features a message from Jonathan Warburton, and is set against a gold Union Jack. The gold flash also coincides with a modernised pack design which Warburtons is rolling out across its core range in 2016, and will continue into next year.
Jonathan Warburton, Chairman of Warburtons, commented: “From the moment Thomas and Ellen sold their very first loaf, we’ve strived to make sure each of our products is created to a gold standard of unbeatable quality, and we’re extremely proud to have provided five generations of UK families with a wide range of baked goods everyone can enjoy.”
In addition to the changes on pack, Warburtons is also celebrating the occasion with a social media campaign, which goes live in June.
