Jet has grown its Scottish footprint with two newly branded ex-Gleaner sites, both of which are now supplied by authorised Jet-branded retail distributor Highland Fuels.
Buccaneer Fuels Limited adopted Jet branding after purchasing Drum of Wartle Filling Station on the A920 near Inverurie earlier this year. The site has been transformed with a larger Premier convenience store and now serves both local residents and passing motorists with an improved shopping and food-to-go offer.
Meanwhile, Colin White, Director of Craigellachie Filling Station, switched supplier due to “the importance of having a fuel supplier the site can depend on in a rural Speyside location”.
The site sits in the heart of Speyside’s whisky-producing region and features a large Londis shop, Costa Coffee, pay-at-the-pump for out-of-hours service, a modern car valet offer and a 50kW EV charger.
White claimed that the Jet brand gave the site greater visibility and that the relationship felt “fully supportive and collaborative, rather than simply contractual”.
Ian Burgess, Retail Sales Representative at Highland Fuels, says: “What matters to us is helping each site make the most of what makes it distinctive, whether that is serving passing traffic on a key route, supporting a rural catchment or meeting the needs of both local residents and tourists.”
Paul Yates, Retail Account Manager for Scotland, Phillips 66 Limited, added: “Each site has its own local role and character, and that is an important part of the story, as the two sites serve very different communities. Both show how a strong forecourt and convenience offer, backed by a trusted fuel brand, can be shaped around local needs.”
With these additions, there are now 50 Jet-branded sites in Scotland, 12 of which are supplied by Highland Fuels.
