Tesco Group has announced the appointment of current Tesco Ireland and Northern Ireland (NI) CEO Geoff Byrne as CEO of Booker. He will succeed current Booker CEO Andrew Yaxley, who will become CEO of Tesco Ireland and NI. The appointments will take effect from 31 August.
Byrne brings extensive experience in senior leadership roles to Booker, most recently at the helm of Tesco Ireland and NI, where he oversaw a period of growth, investment and market share gains.
Andrew Yaxley previously served as CEO of Tesco Ireland from 2015 to 2018, leading the business through a period of significant transformation and growth. He subsequently joined the Tesco Group leadership team as Chief Product Officer before becoming CEO of Booker.
