Tequila brand Tapatio is introducing a modernised visual identity across its range, while retaining key elements of its heritage.
The redesign follows the appointment of Jenny Camarena as Master Distiller and CEO at La Altena Distillery earlier this year. Founded in 1937, Tapatio has built its reputation as a premium artisanal tequila. The new look aims to attract new consumers while continuing to celebrate authenticity.
The updated bottle shape is inspired by the agave plant and features a cork closure. Labels now highlight origin, production process and tasting notes, with a refreshed logo and a new ‘TT’ symbol. Each of the five expressions has a distinct colour variation.
The recipes remain unchanged except for Reposado and Añejo, which move from 38% to 40% ABV.
The new Blanco bottle is available in the UK now, followed by Reposado this month and the rest of the range in 2026. The range is available from premium spirits distributor Speciality Brands.
RSPs are as follows:
- Tapatio Blanco (40% ABV – 50cl) £28.80
- Tapatio Blanco 110 (55% ABV – 50cl) £39.50
- Tapatio Reposado (40% ABV – 50cl) £30.04
- Tapatio Añejo (40% ABV – 50cl) £38.24
- Tapatio Excelencia Extra Añejo (40% ABV – 70cl) £166
