Kind-hearted Spar Clyne Condorrat is extending its LifeVac anti-choking equipment rollout further into North Lanarkshire.
After an initial investment in the installation of LifeVac kits in 31 schools throughout Cumbernauld and Kilsyth last year, the retailer has since gone on to equip every school, nursery, family learning centre, and a number of care homes, private nurseries, childminders, and support groups in Cumbernauld with the life-saving devices. Furthermore, the dedicated staff at Spar Clyne Condorrat are now fully trained to assist in a choking emergency.
The shop has now announced plans to install three LifeVac kits at New College Lanarkshire’s Cumbernauld, Motherwell, and Coatbridge college campuses. Additionally, an extra travel kit will be provided to Glencryan Additional Support Primary School, along with essential training for staff and children.
In addition, pupils from Cumbernauld Academy will also participate in first aid and LifeVac saving skills training.

A LifeVac kit has also been donated to the popular “Still Game” character, Bobby the Barman (Gavin Mitchell), who recently experienced a choking incident, further highlighting the importance of this life-saving equipment.
