Snappy Shopper has appointed Edinburgh-based Empros Retail as its preferred marketing partner for UK convenience retailers, formalising a relationship that aims to help independent and symbol group stores compete more effectively in a digital‑first market.
The agreement brings together Snappy Shopper’s home delivery platform with Empros Retail’s data‑driven social media and performance marketing expertise. The two businesses have worked closely since 2023, delivering measurable results for stores nationwide by pairing local delivery propositions with targeted, conversion‑led campaigns.
Empros Retail Director Fraser MacDonald said the partnership reflects a clear priority for stores: getting online with consistent digital marketing and offering fast, reliable home delivery. “Snappy Shopper is the industry leader in convenience delivery and we’re leading in digital marketing for the sector. Our partnership just makes sense,” he said.
Performance highlights cited by the partners include year‑on‑year delivery sales growth of more than 70% for participating stores, over 100 orders achieved on launch day for multiple Snappy Shopper outlets, campaigns returning up to 25x return on ad spend, and more than £10,000 in tracked sales from ad budgets under £500 within 30 days.
Retailers credited marketing support for the step‑change. Girish Jeeva of Girish’s Premier said the uplift through November and December 2025 was “huge”, while Daniall Nadeem of SPAR Motherwell Road reported a 30% increase in online sales and a 20% rise in weekly in‑store sales within 30 days, attributing the gains to visibility and awareness.
For Snappy Shopper, the move is part of a broader strategy to strengthen support for its retailer network beyond delivery infrastructure. Marketing Director Rich Wetton said national operators are investing heavily in digital marketing: “Delivery is only one piece of the puzzle. Retailers also need the tools to market themselves effectively and retain customers long term. We have seen first-hand the impact Empros Retail has had for stores on our platform.”
Under the partnership, Empros will offer two core packages to Snappy Shopper retailers: a Community Essentials package to build local audiences and engagement, and a Sales Growth package using live pixel tracking and customer retargeting to maximise return on ad spend.
Empros Retail Director Ross Lile said the convenience channel is one of the last major industries to fully embrace performance‑led digital marketing, adding that the agreement is designed to ensure independents can deploy the same level of sophistication as larger operators.
