Snappy Shopper has launched 24/7 delivery capability nationwide, following successful trials in selected stores across the UK.
Girish’s Premier Barmulloch in Glasgow became the first store in Scotland to offer 24-hour delivery using Snappy Shopper’s new technology. Since launching the service in February, the store – which recently won the SLR Awards’ #ThinkSmart Innovation Award – has seen a surge in overnight orders and surpassed £100,000 in GMV over a 30-day period.
Girish said: “We knew there was an appetite for overnight delivery, but the response has blown us away. We saw 25 orders on the very first night. Now, we are serving a new stream of regular customers overnight, often buying essentials like bread, milk, eggs, and snacks.
“We’ve even installed a secure back door for drivers to make overnight fulfilment safe and efficient. It’s been a game-changer.”
Retailers must meet eligibility requirements to offer 24/7 delivery, with a selection process in place to ensure operational standards and customer service are maintained.
The service will operate within local licensing laws, with time-restricted products automatically unavailable during restricted hours. Retailers interested in offering 24/7 delivery are advised to contact their store representative.
Snappy Shopper says it is the first convenience-led platform to bring 24/7 grocery delivery to market at scale.
