Shopper numbers down

New statistics from automated customer counting services provider Springboard have shown that shopper numbers in Scotland were down by 8.2% on a year ago in the three months to July, although this was an improvement on the previous quarter when shopper numbers fell by 12.6%. These figures are considerably worse than the whole UK where shopper numbers were down 2.3%.

Vacancy rates in Scotland rose to 10.5% in July from 9.0% in April.
