Scotmid is celebrating the career milestones of four colleagues whose combined service to the society spans more than 110 years.
The retailer said the four employees have built careers across stores, operations, HR and learning and development, progressing through a range of roles over several decades.
Lynne Hedger joined Scotmid 25 years ago as a Customer Service Assistant while studying Business and Information Management at university. After holding roles including Store Manager and Change Manager, she is now Head of Central Operations and a member of the Retail Leadership Team.
Kevin Lowe joined Scotmid in April 2001 as a Regional Business Manager. During his 25 years with the business, he has been involved in acquisitions, transformation projects and the expansion of Scotmid’s store estate.
Lynne MacGillivray joined Scotmid’s South Queensferry store in March 1991 in a shelf-filling role while still at school. More than 35 years later, she is a senior member of the retailer’s HR team, having spent the past 20 years supporting colleague development.
Jane Burns joined Scotmid in 2004 following the acquisition of Morning Noon & Night. Starting as a store manager in Airdrie, she later moved into compliance, training and learning and development roles. She is now Lead Learning & Development Consultant.
Margaret Anne Clark, Chief Operating Officer – Services at Scotmid, said: “All four of these incredible colleagues have each made an outstanding contribution and commitment to Scotmid over many years.
“They have helped serve customers, support colleagues and guide the business through periods of growth and change. Their stories demonstrate the opportunities that exist within Scotmid and the difference people can make when they build a career with us.
“We’re incredibly grateful for their commitment and proud to celebrate their milestones.”
