PG tips is supporting its newly expanded Green Tea range with the launch of a £3m marketing campaign.
This is the brand’s biggest ever green tea spend. The campaign takes in out-of-home, TV, PR and social media activity.
Forming part of the existing ‘Keep It Tea’ campaign, the TV ad sees the PG tips Monkey take a light-hearted look at some of the health fads of 2016 before encouraging consumers to keep it simple and stick to tea.
Lola Danlos, Senior Brand Manager for PG tips at Unilever UK, commented: “As well as appealing to new shoppers, the campaign is aiming to encourage fans of black tea to be experimental and try out our exciting array of green tea flavours.”
The brand has grown its green tea sales by over 16% in the past 12 months and launched three new flavours in March – Green Tea Strawberry Cupcake, Green Tea Lemon Pie, and Green Tea Orange.
Each new PG tips green tea flavour has an rrp of £1.39, with four packs per outer.
