It’s getting wintry outdoors, which means soup season, and this year it will taste even better with the launch of two new flavours of Oxo cubes: Chicken Broth & Ham. To back the launch, Oxo teamed up with STV for a series of TV ads and hopes for the new variants are high, especially given 85% of ham stock sales and 25% of chicken stock sales are currently in Scotland.
The new lines hit the shelves of Woodlands Local in early November and sales have already started to pick up. Store Manager Gerry says: “Soups are always popular as we approach winter and we’ve already started selling soup packs that we put together in the store. They include a recipe card, vegetables and pulses, and we’ll certainly now be including these great new Oxo variants. We do a good trade in Oxo products so I’m confident that these new lines will do well over the course of winter, and beyond.”
