Niddrie retailer wins Great White van

Mahmood Shahid of Niddrie Bargain Stores in Edinburgh has been named the winner of the Kingsmill Great White Van competition. Allied Bakeries launched the competition in recognition of just how important it is for independent retailers to be able collect fresh produce, especially bread, on a daily basis.
On winning the prize Mahmood said: “We were so pleased when we heard we had won a new van from Kingsmill Great White. It will undoubtedly help us to better run our business for many years to come, making visits to the wholesaler much more straightforward.”
Jane Brand, Shopper Marketing Controller at Allied Bakeries added: “We launched the UK-wide competition to celebrate the unveiling of our innovative Kingsmill Great White loaf. We wanted our new ‘Great White’ product to have an equally fitting ‘Great White’ prize for the trade that would make a real difference to an independent retailer and we are delighted that Naddrie Bargain Stores was our winner!”
