National Lottery operator Allwyn is rolling out more than 1.5 million limited-edition National Lottery FastPay wallets to retail partners in a bid to drive awareness and draw game sales.
The handheld wallets, made from recyclable materials, feature the phrases ‘Your lucky numbers at your finger tips!’ and ‘Go on… have a play!’ They will be dropped off during Allwyn’s Retail Growth Executives store visits over the coming weeks.
The wallets are designed to hold a National Lottery FastPay card, meaning retailers can gift one to their loyal FastPay players. Retailers can also encourage customers who regularly use play slips to switch to a FastPay card and give them a wallet for safekeeping.
FastPay allows customers to play National Lottery draw games without the need to fill in a play slip. Players’ chosen numbers or Lucky Dip selections are saved on a printed FastPay card, which can store multiple lines, draw days and up to four weeks of play, helping drive repeat sales in store. Retailers then simply scan the card at the terminal to print tickets.
Lotto FastPay users spend 37% more on average than Lucky Dip players, according to Allwyn. The operator said FastPay can also speed up transactions, minimise queues and encourage repeat play.
