Mangrove has been appointed as UK distributor for fifth-generation, family-run tequila Arette, expanding the brand’s presence as interest in agave spirits continues to grow.
Named after an Olympic show-jumping horse, Arette draws on the heritage of the Orendain family and the town of Tequila in Jalisco. The family’s El Llano Distillery is among the oldest in the region, using mineral water from nearby volcanic springs and blue weber agave grown on the family’s own local farm.
The Arette range includes the Clasico Blanco Tequila, which is produced from 100% agave, twice distilled to 38% ABV and made without additives. The tequila features creamy aromas, classic vegetal notes and hints of blossom. The brand has already built a strong following in the UK on-trade, where it is consumed neat and used in serves such as Palomas and Margaritas.
