Lidl GB has revealed hundreds of target locations across Great Britain, including 52 new store wish list locations in Scotland and a further 14 areas where site relocations are required.
The discounter’s Scottish new store wish list locations range from Inverness to Dumfries, with the majority around the country’s Central Belt.
Earlier this month, Lidl GB confirmed plans to open more than 50 new stores in the next 12 months as part of a £600m investment. The supermarket has held a 33-month streak as the fastest-growing bricks-and-mortar supermarket in the UK [Worldpanel by Numerator, 52 w/e 23rd March 2026] , with the publication of its latest target locations signalling a clear intention to continue to grow at pace after opening its 1,000th store in East Grinstead last November.
