Landmark’s conference could be hot stuff

Landmark Wholesale’s members and suppliers are flying to Abu Dhabi later this week for the buying group’s annual conference to learn more about this year’s theme: growth through partnership.

“Given the changes in the food industry, driven by the multiples, and the resulting opportunities for the convenience channel, the need to work together has never been more important,” said Martin Williams, Landmark Wholesale Managing Director. “This year’s conference will explore why partnership working is so critical for success in all channels: retail, out of home and foodservice.”

Delegates will hear from industry experts such as James Walton, Chief Economist at IGD, James Bielby, Chief Executive of the FWD, Jill Livesey, Managing Director of him! Research and Consulting and James Lowman, Chief Executive of the ACS, as well as Landmark members and suppliers. Guest speakers this year are Sir Clive Woodward OBE and Katie Piper.

The conference, which runs from 21st to 26th May, provides delegates with an environment to come together, blending business and social elements.

“I’m incredibly proud that, over the years, the Landmark conference has established itself as the benchmark for food industry conferences,” said Williams. “In addition to hearing from leading industry experts, it also offers members and suppliers the opportunity to forge strong working relationships which provide an excellent platform for future success.”
