MD of Dublin-based Smyth Furey Group confirmed as speaker at SLR’s Success with DRS event on 28th October in Glasgow.
As Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) administrator Exchange for Change continues to make progress on the launch of DRS in October 2027, with the confirmation this week of its proposed producer fees, SLR is set to play its part in giving retailers in Scotland all the tools and information they need to take advantage of the new scheme at its Success with DRS event on 28 October.
The event marks the start of the 12-month countdown until DRS goes live and promises to give attendees everything they need to know – in just one day – and we are delighted to reveal that Irish retailer Chris Furey will be among the speakers.
Chris is MD of the Dublin-based Smyth Furey Group, which operates a chain of Eurospar stores across Ireland, and will bring his first-hand experience of how DRS played out in Ireland since its launch over the water back in February 2024.
He will share insights from Ireland’s DRS journey to give retailers a perspective that will help them make the best decisions for their businesses ahead of the launch of the UK’s Deposit Return Scheme.
