International Beverage has unveiled the three top recipients of its 2025 Spirit of Our Community Awards, allocating a £20,000 donation among charities serving communities around its Airdrie head office and Scottish distilleries.
The £20,000 will be shared between:
- St Andrew’s Hospice (Airdrie) – supporting the charity’s child bereavement services across Lanarkshire;
- Moray Rape Crisis – providing support for people affected by sexual violence and abuse;
- Pulteneytown People’s Project (Wick) – a community‑led centre serving Wick and the wider Caithness area.
A further £5,000 will be split among seven runners‑up: Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust, Glenboig Development Trust, James Support Group, Elgin Youth Development Group, Wick Community Hub, Grampian Society for the Blind and Dornoch Beach Wheelchairs.
Launched in 2022, the awards recognise people and organisations making a difference near International Beverage’s Scottish sites. In 2023, the initiative expanded beyond Airdrie to include communities close to distilleries at Knockdhu (Aberdeenshire), Speyburn and Balmenach (Speyside), and Pulteney (Wick) and Balblair (Tain).
Eileen Rae, Business Support Manager at International Beverage and awards organiser, said: “We received our biggest number of awards entries to date this year, and our judges really had a difficult task when it came to selecting our top recipients. The standard of entries was extremely high as so many deserving charities applied with a host of community initiatives that really touched our hearts. We are delighted to announce our 2025 winners and runners‑up and look forward to hearing more on how their projects develop over the months ahead.”
Further details about the scheme are available on the International Beverage website.
