Local retailers in Scotland and beyond have seen home delivery sales explode since adopting order aggregation technology from Snappy Technologies, which enables them to consolidate orders from multiple platforms into a single interface.
Ram, owner of Edinburgh-based Gilmerton Grocers, has grown Just Eat sales alone by 300% and saved countless hours on admin. “Now I can use my skilled staff on other productive work in store instead of menu admin, saving us 10 hours per week in time and increasing our sales by 300% on Just Eat,” he says. “I could write five pages on the benefits of Order Aggregation.”
For Girish Jeeva, owner of Girish’s Costcutter Barmulloch in Glasgow, the operational impact has been highly significant. He said: “By using OA, we save on average 12 to 15 hours per week. It has reduced manual work and errors, improved order accuracy and made it easier to operate, especially during busy hours.”
Alex Kapadia, owner of Morrisons Daily Whitehills in Northampton, England, said the system has fundamentally changed its ability to scale: “Before using OA, managing 4,000 products manually on Just Eat was impossible. Since switching, everything updates automatically from our EPOS, margins have improved, cancellations and refunds are almost non-existent and our sales have more than doubled.”
The Order Aggregation product can connect directly to compatible EPOS systems, allowing retailers to update their product range once and automatically sync changes across every delivery marketplace. Price, stock and promotions can then be managed centrally rather than across multiple tablets.
The removal of repetitive menu updates and manual price changes has also reduced cancellations and picking errors, with retailers reporting smoother staff training and clearer processes during peak trading.
The development reflects a wider shift in the convenience sector, where retailers are increasingly seeking to maximise marketplace demand without adding operational complexity.
Mike Callachan, Co-Founder & CEO at Snappy Shopper: “We’re incredibly proud to have built what we believe is the first complete retail solution designed specifically for convenience stores. A major focus for us has been working closely with our existing EPOS partners, and that collaboration has resulted in a Order Aggregation – V2 growing number of integrations that now support Order Aggregation. This makes it incredibly simple for stores to maintain accurate menus across all ordering platforms, with everything centrally managed through their EPOS system.”
