Eiffel-ly good fundraising effort

GroceryAid's London to Paris cyclists pose under the Eiffel tower

Intrepid industry colleagues have raised over £42,000 for GroceryAid by cycling from London to Paris. The sum is enough to provide 140 respite breaks for those with caring responsibilities.

After setting off from Dairy Crest’s head office in Surrey, the cyclists battled intermittent weather conditions and some treacherous ascents before completing the three-day, 230-mile journey in fine spirits at the Eiffel Tower.

Reflecting on the challenge, Booker’s Mike Caddle said: “Overall, the event was fantastic. Cycling as part of a team having the same goal was brilliant!”

Next year the London to Paris Cycle Challenge will take place from September 13–15, 2018. If you are interested in taking part please contact events@groceryaid.org.uk or call 01252 875925.
