Greens on the Go Hospital Hill, Dunfermline, donated £2,000 to a local school and youth organisation when it opened last Thursday (25 June), bringing Greens Retail’s community donations total to £60,000.
The new store, which boasts a noodle station, unlimited coffee refills for £3.50 and a self-serve salad bar, gave £1,000 donations to Dunfermline High School and Brucefield Youth Organisation.
The school will put the money towards purchasing equipment for a new enclosed outdoor space for Enhanced Support Pupils, which is expected to benefit around 60 pupils. Representatives from Dunfermline High School, including Depute Headteacher Debbie Aitken and two School Captains, attended the store’s opening event.
The second £1,000 donation will enable Brucefield Youth Organisation to purchase new arts and crafts supplies, sports equipment and board games. The volunteer-led club supports around 22 children from Primary 1 to Primary 7 across Dunfermline.
The donations were made in partnership with Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally charity, with funding generated through the sale of Co-op-branded products in store.
