Police Scotland Community Officers from Denny, Grangemouth, and Bo’ness recently assisted partners at Trading Standards in seizing 9,460 illicit cigarettes and 3kg of illicit tobacco from retailers across Forth Valley.
The operation involved acting on vital community intelligence as officers supported the inspection of five retailers.
Fourth Valley police claimed that the operation highlighted “the power of partnership working” and the importance of the public providing information.
“The illicit tobacco trade is often linked to wider organized crime, and by working together, we can disrupt these activities and keep our local communities safe,” said Police Scotland Forth Valley.
