Finsbury Food Group has renewed its licensing collaboration with The Walt Disney Company, extending a 20-year partnership that has brought a range of celebration cakes to UK retailers.
The renewed agreement will see Finsbury continue to develop cakes inspired by Disney characters and films, including Frozen, Lilo & Stitch and Moana. The agreement also covers characters from Disney and Pixar, and the Marvel universe.
Finsbury said the renewal would support further innovation in the licensed celebration and gift cake categories, with new products in development.
The company will work with Disney to align product launches with content moments, anniversaries and film releases. Following the success of products such as its Disney Moana-inspired cake, Finsbury plans to expand its celebration and gift cake range, with a focus on broad retail distribution and visually distinctive cakes for special occasions.
